We take great care in sourcing our natural ingredients to ensure that each product meets our high-quality standards. Every Little Moon Essentials product is made with love from start to finish.
All of our products are paraben-free. Parabens are toxic and allergenic, and have been found in cancer tissue. They’re often used in cosmetics, lotions, cleaning products, and even food. Using science and nature’s technology, we’ve formulated safer products that naturally preserve themselves.
All of our ingredients are 100% vegan, aside from beeswax which is found in a few of our products. Our beeswax is cruelty-free and comes from happy bees. For our hardcore vegans out there, check out this page to browse our beeswax-free products!
Essential Oils are great tools for supporting your physical, emotional, and mental health. We hand select each of our 100% pure, undiluted essential oils for their specific healing properties, to make exceptional products that help you feel your best every day. You will never find a solvent-extracted oil in any of our products!

We use biodegradable and recyclable shipping materials, and the majority of our packaging is reusable and/or recyclable. We train our staff in best recycling practices and to be conscious of waste output. We only use natural ingredients to prevent introducing foreign materials to our environment. We are always looking into innovative ways to improve our environmental impact and sustainable supply chain.

Little Moon Essentials is proud to be Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free! We do not test our products on animals at any stage of production or distribution, and we carefully source our ingredients from suppliers that do not test on animals.

Made by the Phases of the Moon
Usually, herbs are extracted through heating processes that compromise the integrity of the herbs used and are harmful to the environment. At Little Moon Essentials, we utilize the gravitational pull of the moon to extract the most out of our medicinal herbs and infuse them into our base oils. This ensures that our ingredients and our planet are never compromised. Our unique extraction process is energy efficient and earth friendly!
PHASE 1
NEW MOON
We begin by infusing our base oils with the herbs on the day of the new moon. On this day, the moon is completely hidden by the earth's shadow. We add fresh herbs to a base oil and let the moon work its magic!
PHASE 2
WAXING MOON
During the next two weeks, the moon moves from new to full. This is known as the waxing phase. We utilize the moon's gravitational pull on the earth during this time to extract the medicinal properties out of the herbs and into the oil. This is the same force that creates high tides and earthquakes.
PHASE 3
FULL MOON
On the full moon, we filter the herbs out of the oil. Our base oils are now infused with the medicinal properties from the herbs and are ready to use in your favorite Little Moon Essentials products!

It all started in 1994 in Steamboat Springs, CO when our first product, the seedling that started it all, was created: the Letting Go Mineral Bath. The mineral bath was a success, and this seedling grew into a colorful line of over 60 products with all kinds of benefits. The rest is history!
