Body Butters vs. Lotions: What’s the Difference?
When it comes to hydrating the skin, there are so many options you can turn to, especially with Little Moon Essentials products. We wanted to talk about both our body butters and our lotions, so you can learn more about each and make the right decision when you are looking to moisturize your skin naturally.
Decadent Body Butters
Our body butters are actually whipped body butters, so they’ll be a little less dense compared to other traditional body butters. When it comes to these, a little goes a long way. The formula melts onto the skin as the body warms it, so you can use just a small amount to lather up. While not all of our collections have a whipped body butter, we do have a few classics such as Tired Old Ass™, Sleep Comes Easy™, and Peaceful Forest™. Our whipped body butters also contain body-safe mica, so you’ll have a natural glow when the light hits your skin.
As far as the formulation goes, our whipped body butters contain a base of Organic Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Fair Trade Organic Coconut Oil, and Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter. This silky formula helps to hydrate and soothe the skin.
Moisturizing Body Lotions
Our body lotions are a natural take on a classic body lotion, but you can be sure you won’t find any parabens in our formulas! We have a variety of scents for you to choose from, whether you’re feeling tropical with Beach All You Want™, or you’re looking for a timeless and gentle moment like Oatmeal Heaven™.
When it comes to the formulation of our body lotions, the first two ingredients are Water and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice so you will find a very lightweight and gentle formula within these bottles.
Are There Similarities?
Yes! Both our whipped body butters and our body lotions are made with natural ingredients and pure essential oils. You won’t find any harsh, artificial fragrances or parabens in either, and both are vegan formulas. No matter which one you choose, you’ll have a variety of scents to choose from, and you can be sure that the ingredients you see on the label are exactly what you are getting in the bottle. Most importantly, both are great choices when it comes to hydrating and taking care of your skin!
